princessa williamsonCongratulations to Instructional Assistant Princessa Williamson who was recognized at the annual FCPS Honors event as the 2019 Region 3 Outstanding Operational Employee and one of six finalists for this year's Outstanding Operational Employee Award!

Ms. Williamson is dedicated and committed to uplifting her school community by identifying gaps and innovatively creating solutions through building relationships between students and staff. She feels that when students are engaged in the community, their overall school experience is overwhelmingly positive and yields positive academic progress. In 2013, when she founded the Blossoming Beauties, a student group that engages in teambuilding activities as well as school and community projects, she saw a need in her school and the community. The Blossoming Beauties program empowers female students to learn social/emotional skills while giving back to their communities and teaches girls about how important it is to give back even when their situations aren’t the best.

Congratulations also to the other Quander Road Elementary School staff members recognized at FCPS Honors!

Outstanding Secondary New Teacher School-level Recipient

  • Alexandra Dooling, Emotional Disabilities Teacher

Thank you to George Deneault for all of her hard work with the nomination process by serving as this year's awards liaison!
